    Halle Berry Says She Fasts Every Morning Until 2 P.M.

    ICYMI Halle Berry is seriously fit. (As if anyone could miss the 51-year-old's undeniably killer bod.)
    That's why it's important that you drop everything right now and tune in to Halle's latest Instagram story because she and trainer Peter Lee Thomas are hosting their #PHITtalks series. This time around, the duo talked all things snacking—and why they believe in a dinner curfew. ~
    The two also took on a question about whether or not they have a curfew for their eating habits. Thomas said he practices 16: 8 intermittent fasting, where he has "a window of eight hours that I eat which means I'm fasting for 16 hours." He said that means he typically starts eating between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and cuts off his trips to the refrigerator between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

    Halle said she also fasts in the morning, sitting down for her first meal around 2 p.m. She added: "Not that I don't get nutrients and vitamins and minerals [during that time]...I just don't sit down and have a meal."

    Before keto, something we made every year, and shared with friends, were rum balls! Little balls of chocolatey rum yumminess.
    I searched all over the internet and found some recipes but some were higher in carbs than I wanted and some didn't sound great so I mashed a few together and made some changes!
    I also handed then out today at the keto lunch and even though the rum was STRONG 🤣 I think they went over well!
    Over half the container disappeared anyways!

    Normal rum balls are quite large, about the size of a quarter, round. I made mine the size of marbles so I could keep the carb count down and enjoy many many rum balls 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    My recipe yeilded 50 rum balls but you can make less. Up to you! These came out like little fat bombs but rum flavored!
    For my ingredients the complete recipe macros: 154f, 16 net carbs, 59 protein.
    Per ball 3f, .3net carb, 1.2p.

    Recipe:
    ½ cup finely shredded unsweetened coconut
    ¾ cup hemp hearts
    ½ cup cacao powder (I use guittard)
    ⅓ cup almond flour
    2 tablespoons dark spiced rum (I used @bundabergrum OP🇦🇺)
    3-4 tablespoons coconut oil
    20-30 drops liquid sweetener
    1/8 tsp pink salt
    Mix everything but the shredded coconut in a food processor adding the coconut oil last. Start with 2 tablespoons and see if the "dough" starts to come together. Add the rest slowly until its a good mix and the hemp turns into a sort of peanut butter as you don't want pieces of hemp! I blended until it was nice and smooth.
    Taste your mix! Does it need more rum? More sweetener? Add it now! I started at 20 stevia drops and added more as it needed it to overcome the bitterness of the cocoa powder.
    I weighed out the mixture and divided it by 50 but you can change that if you prefer.
    After rolling the balls, roll in shredded coconut. Store in the fridge.
    Note: the rum tastes stronger the next day!!

  • I did another thing. I had made @joyfilledeats salted caramel cups last weekend. I had a bunch of filling that needed to be used. In truth, I never did teach the dark caramel color, but hey this was tasty! Anyway😆I took a Joseph’s pita and put some of the filling inside. Pressed it down to “seal” it. Then I took about 4 pieces of Lily’s dark chocolate bar and laid them on top of each half. Threw it in the oven at 350 for about 5 minutes (or until the chocolate was spreadable). Once the chocolate was spread, I sprinkled it with a little salt and a pinch of xylitol. This is something reminiscent of what you would find at a food fair. It was decadent and delicious!!! #manykidsminihouse #trimhealthymama #thm #joyfilledeats #sugarfree #dessertbread #decadentanddelicious
