👉You learn the value of hard work through working hard. Regardless of what personal goal you’re chasing, it’s going to require some sort of sacrifice. The pursuit of one endeavour will ultimately lead to the neglect of another. For example, attaining a desirable physique will ultimately come down to your nutritional protocols and how dedicated you can be to a training regimen. This inevitably will require a great deal of sacrifice on your part: that being the sacrifice of instantly gratifying foods, the sacrifice of comfortability when you’re in the gym and have come to your wits end in the squat rack, and even though your entire being pleads for you not to go down for another rep, you do anyway. You’ve sacrificed being comfortable for a longer lasting gratification. Instant gratification is very fleeting, what we attain quickly will leave just as quick, which is why instant gratification can be so addictive and dangerous. Our abilities to control our urges and implement self-discipline for the purpose of delayed gratification is our greatest asset🔥

THE PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF LIFTING WEIGHTS by @muneeb.mash

I think I'm gonna do more video posts now. What do you guys think? 😋

I did a post earlier talking about the mental benefits of lifting weights. This is about the physical benefits. Let's go a step further than just looks!

The first one is that everyday tasks become much easier. As you start getting stronger, you find an easier time moving things around and also become aware of your body's movement. Things as simple as getting in and out of your car becomes easier.

You are less prone to injury. Not only does weight lifting increase muscle strength, but it also increases connective tissue and bone strength, believe it or not. So when something hits you hard, you are far less likely to suffer an injury. Your bones are much stronger and stronger muscle absorb more force.

As you get older, your bones start to wither away. But when you have years of lifting weights behind you, bone loss is significantly slowed. This goes back to longevity. You will stay functional, in shape, and strong much further down the line than if you didn't lift weights while you're still young.

Your sleep quality will be improved. The School of Medicine in the University of Pennsylvania found that factors such as carbohydrate breakdown, metabolism, and blood pressure are improved. These factors contribute in sleep quality. It helps you fall asleep faster, and stay asleep for longer.
