  • Had a great night attending the celebration of Diwali (also known as the Festival of Lights)! The presentations were fun to watch and ending the night by lighting a few sparklers/crackers was really pretty. I only watched them light those up as I walked back to the car, though, because we needed to get back for some shut eye. It was my first time trying authentic Indian food, too. I gotta say, the dishes were delicious! Although, the curry was a bit too spicy for me. At the end of it all, I’m really glad they invited me to their event. It was a great experience.☺️

  • As Diwali season comes to a close I wanted to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you that shared my posts, tried my recipes and did my crafts. The personal messages I received on how the blog has become a cultural guide and is helping so many of you share our beautiful culture with your kids, touched me deeply. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Perhaps the most heart warming message was from a longtime follower who wrote: “So many families made your rainbow diyas, look how many homes you inspired and brought happiness to, that’s Diwali.” ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I truly believe that this is the essence of Diwali, to continuously spread love + light. I hope this new year brings you + yours love, laughs and enough mirch to keep life exciting. ♥️
